This is Lost Valley Dulcimer "Triplet" No.467 (1991)
Recently sold through Elderly Instruments in Lansing Michigan. (19 years old)
"Question/comment: I LOVE my dulcimer.
Purchased in 1986 Beautiful mahogany sound board.
Strong voice and bell tone. I have looked and
considers others but nothing is as good as the one I have, in my estimation.Of course, it is a Lost Valley Dulcimer. I rarely need to tune it. More playing and less work.
It transports well and stays in tune even with the moving.
Careful handling keeps a beautiful instrument.
Thanks for your good craftsmanship . Elaine Hadley
Made in 1994, this dulcimer is a beautiful instrument with lovely Celtic carvings. The tone is rich and resonant -- a haunting sound of the kind you would hope to hear on a misty morning walk over the moors of Scotland.
Although I bought it used, it was obviously treasured by its previous owners. And, yes, as your website claims, it stays in tune! I go through the tuning motions weekly, but have only tweeked a string back into balance twice in 4 months.

Evart Dulcimer Fest:
This year at Evart I saw several happy Lost Valley owners and they told me it was okay to use their name.
Elaine Hadley has had her Lost Valley for 25 years (1985), She has "tried all others and there is nothing better. . . I love it".
Phillip McDouall from Capitol City, Ottawa, Canada, has a very nice Curly Maple - Lost Valley 16/16 #904-2003. He told me that he loves it's sound and the way it stays in tune. (Just not many people to jam with in his area, and it is a 5 hour drive to the nearest dulcimer club jam)
Virginia Andersen has Lost Valley #605-1994. She said that she loves it, and everybody tells her that it has a "pretty tone".
I saw one that was numbered #45-Kit and the owner said that it played and sounded great also.
*Chris LaRue - Lavonia, MI., is the happy owner of a new Lost Valley. (his is the Escher Ivy - Mahogany - 16/16 on the page covering this year's batch.)
*Margwen Wermer - Leo, IN., also is the proud owner of a new Lost Valley. Hers is the Mahogany 16/16 with Celtic Knot sound holes. (this year's batch)
It was Great meeting everyone that stopped by the booth to talk about their Lost Valley Dulcimer and to see how happy they are.
And to see all of the older ones still in action.
All in all, I saw a lot of great old Lost Valley Dulcimers, changed a few strings, and had a Great time talking with all of the happy owners. It was a Great year at Evart this time around.
Thanks to all that stopped bye the booth and to all that let me use their comments.
Good Luck/Good Tunes,
Jer'
